This website is an initiative of a materials science researcher who focuses more on environmental remedies and applications of materials science in making human life better. We mainly focus on interdisciplinary research and involve tools like data science, machine learning, topology, discrete differential geometry and many more into chemistry research and try to get out practical manifestations from that particular system and tune them according to required functionalities. Presently we are mainly interested in tuning and designing novel materials for photocatalytic reduction of carbon dioxide and water as a system, choosing selectivity and other advanced methods like defect site engineering and many more. Later we would like to extend our focus towards energy storage applications like supercapacitors and batteries. Amongst all, we are even dedicated to the research side of material characterisation techniques along with surface characterisation and various spectroscopic techniques.
A more detailed description of our research will be provided on other pages, and get back to us if you feel attractive.
More about the title:
SCIENCHE- The Layman Science, SCIENCHE is just an inverse verse of CHE from Chemical and SCIENCE from Sciences, which indirectly indicates that we are a group from chemical sciences. The second phrase, "THE LAYMAN SCIENCE," is a bit comprehensive; since the Alchemy period, chemistry and science have always been focused on studying various kinds of materials present in the universe and understanding their functionality and quest for its applications. Thus, it has been an inheritance for the culture of "materials investigation"; thus, it can be described as a "LAYMAN SCIENCE". Our lab is named as NANOCHEM LAB as we mainly focus on advanced aspects of materials science based applications.
